General Description

The Galaxy-class is an advanced Federation starship during the last 24^th century. The starship is developed for deep-space exploration.

The Galaxy-class starship was designed by Andrew Probert. Interior sets were supervised by Herman Zimmerman and Richard James. Gene Roddenberry once speculated that there were only 6 Galaxy-class starships built, but this has not been firmly established in any episode, nor has the name of other ship.

Performance : Warp 9.6 for 12 hours Standard (STD); Warp 9.9 for 12 hours Uprated (UPRTD).
Armament : 12 type-10 phaser emitters with 50,000 terawatts; 1 forward / 1 aft / 1 saucer-module photon torpedo launchers with 250 torpedoes. Each torpedo launcher can fire max 10 torpedoes simultaneously.
Shield : 2,700,000 teraJuoles.
Embarked Craft : 8 Shuttlecraft (various classes), 8 Shuttlepods (various classes), 4 Work Bee General Utility Craft, 1 Captain's Yacht (Mark 1).
